Let the numbers speak for itself. Financial freedom, here I come.

23rd Trade: It should not have happened

Image
23rd trade, and 3rd loss! :( This one came as I was fiddling around with the SL threshold, and I didn't stick to my initial SL which was way lower than this one. Next time, just trust the system! Summary: Pips harvested: -715 Record: 20 TP (take profit), 3 SL (stop loss) Total pips to date: 5995 Calendar Days from first win: 29 + 28 + 21

22nd Trade: Real get rich quick schemes

Image
I've posted before about quick TPs, and this one only serves to prove that it isn't beginner's luck! As long as you're not too greedy, profits are always waiting around the corner! By the way, 300 pips is equivalent to 3% of the trading account. 😆 Summary: Pips harvested: 300 Record: 20 TP (take profit), 2 SL (stop loss) Total pips to date: 6710 Calendar Days from first win: 29 + 28 + 13

21st Trade: A small hiccup

Image
A second hiccup! Hiccups are usually part and parcel of the trading life. But always, remember to set Stop Losses! As the name says, they stop your losses from going further than you want. 16th Trade: Sell! Sell! Sell!

Image
Now that I noticed it, I haven't been in as many sell trades compared to buy trades. Perhaps the uptrend is over already? As February has closed, let's have a review of its summary at the bottom: Summary: Pips harvested: 464 Record: 15 TP (take profit), 1 SL (stop loss) Total pips to date: 5311 Calendar Days from first win: 29 + 28 + 3 January Statistics: Pips harvested: 5038 Average pips/trading day = 251.9 Record: 11 TP, 0 SL February Statistics: Pips harvested: -191 Average pips/trading day = -6.8 Record: 14 TP, 1 SL All in all, that single SL contributed to a negative ROI for February, however it wasn't significant thanks to my other TP and the safety net that I had set. March 2017, here I come!

Image
This trade spanned the entire weekend! A sigh of relief when it TP'ed!  By the way, the market is closed during Saturdays and Sundays, hence the gap in the dates seen in the screenshot below. First Triumph!

Image
3rd of January 2017 marks the first trade and triumph of 2017! As this is my first trading post, please refer to the guide below for more explanation! Summary: Pips harvested: 319 Record: 1 TP (take profit), 0 SL (stop loss) Total pips to date: 319 Entry price = 1150.73 Exit price = 1153.92 Target Stop Loss = 1135.74 Target Take Profit = 1153.92 (green means TP achieved) As this was a profitable "Buy" trade, the Pips Harvested = 1153.92 - 1150.73 * 100 = 319 pips If it was a profitable "Sell" trade, we would expect the figure to be a negative! Here's to a profitable and pipastic 2017!

Starting with SRDC

Hello world! In this blog, I will share my early trading journey with SRDC, a worldwide community dedicated to educating people about trading, which I have been following for nearly 3 quarters now. What inspired me to join in this community is the likely and forseeable near future that I can achieve with them - Financial Freedom. Why trading? I've thought about the various side incomes I could pursue. The property industry, Amazon businesses, shares, book royalties... all possible profitable investment options and side incomes, but I still settled for simplicity in the end. What is easier, and has the least capital required than simply an internet connection and a laptop? With that said, simply learn how to trade, and the future is assured with a few clicks of the mouse. That being said, the journey of learning how to trade does emulate the market: full of ups and downs, with ups being the fruit of labour, and the downs being 'tuition fees' to the market for les...
